STATEMENT
 
My work is an oscillation between experiment and observation. Above all, the materialization of gestures. I keep several ways to address my concerns. I am interested in the ways of inducing images through the artificial. Currently my research is focused on the materialization of journeys, which begin or end as small gestures. The drawing and the painting are used to document or file some gesture, part of the journey or some action allusive to the journey. My artistic practice began as an exploration of the contents of social injustices, and nowadays my interests are focused on subjectivities and forms of absorbing experiences.
I like to focus in diffent directions in my practice, sometimes as a vulcanologist, sometimes as
a astronaut , or as a antropologist. I like to act as an explorer of the XIX century, but without knowing where the projects will take me. My interest is focused on inducing an event, documenting
an action with drawing and the physical or psychological journey as a gesture. Part of these journeys try to understand the sensibilities of the indigenous world in Guatemala.
