INTERVENTION WITH DRYWALL ON ABANDONED SPACE

PAVILLION

2014

Thinking about the body and architecture is necessary to mention the work of artist Gabriel Rodriguez, which is linked to the body from a tangent not often addressed. Rodriguez part of a critique of some hyper functionality of modern architecture, using

a generic and post modern material such as drywall, Rodriguez builds a labyrinthine installation that requires transit through absurd spaces that determine the movement

of metaphorical traps that work only from the space that is allowed to travel.

This reminds us that the space is occupied physically and conceptually and, as

mentioned by Henri Poincare space is understood from sensible and bodily experiences that give shape and meaning to it.
